Babu Robert
Executive Director
ManagementRobert is the Executive Director of KINGFO and has served in this
role for the past six years. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social
Sciences from Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda. He also
earned a Master’s degree in International Development
Management from the University of Westminster in London,
United Kingdom.
Additionally, Robert holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Project Monitoring and Evaluation from
the Uganda Management Institute in Gulu. His administrative and leadership strengths have been
further enhanced by acquiring a certificate in Facilitating Organizational Development from the
EASUN School for Organization Learning in Arusha, Tanzania.
With over 20 years of experience in the civil society sector, Robert has demonstrated remarkable
achievements in organizational leadership and development. He possesses strong expertise in
Organizational Development, Management, Human Rights, Action Research, civil society
engagement, peacebuilding, and youth programming.
Beyond his role at KINGFO, Robert serves as the Managing Director of Hallmark Development
Agency, where he leads development consultancy initiatives across the country for various
development partners as the Firm’s clients

Project Officer

Sunday is a Social worker and a Human Right Defender passionate
about good governance and the protection of human rights. She holds a
Bachelor\\\\\\\'s Degree in Development Studies obtained from Kyambogo
University- Kampala.
She is the Project Officer for Civil Society Strengthening Programs funded by Deutsche
Gesellschanft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), German Federal Ministry of Economic
Cooperation and Development (BMZ), and European Union (EU).

Olaa Ambrose
Project Officer
Civil Society in Uganda Support ProgramAmbrose serves as a Project Officer at KINGFO, leading Civil Society
Strengthening Programs funded by Deutsche Gesellschaft für
Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), German Federal Ministry for
Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), and the European Union (EU).
His work focuses on enhancing the understanding and effective implementation of CSO network
core mandates, strengthening membership bases for increased relevance and effectiveness, and
improving compliance and credibility of civil society networks across the Acholi sub-region.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Development Studies from Gulu University. Ambrose brings
hands-on experience in community engagement, data collection, CSO coordination, and
monitoring and evaluation. His practical approach and field experience contribute significantly to
strengthening institutional capacity and fostering accountability within civil society networks

Acan Scovia Obwolo
Project Assistant
Governance and Human Rights DepartmentScovia currently supports the implementation of the
Strengthening and Advancing Governance and Accountability
(SAGA) project funded by GIZ Uganda. In this role, she
contributes to promoting transparency, citizen participation, and
accountability in public service delivery.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Community Development and Social Justice from Kyambogo
University. In addition, she is a certified Grade III Primary Teacher, trained at Gulu Christ the
King Teacher’s College, which strengthens her capacity in community engagement, training, and
facilitation.
Within the Governance and Human Rights Department, Scovia is a trained professional in
monitoring, documentation, and reporting of public projects. She utilizes the Public Procurement
and Disposal of Public Assets Authority (PPDA) App to track public investments and promote
accountability in procurement processes.

Okot Churchill
Project Officer
Strengthening and Advancing Governance and AccountabilityChurchill is a dedicated Human Rights Defender and AntiCorruption Activist with a strong commitment to the protection and
promotion of human rights and good governance. He firmly believes
that “human rights are foreign to no country and native to all
nations,” a principle that guides his advocacy and community engagement work.
He has undertaken several professional short courses, including Human Rights and Good
Governance from the International Law Institute Uganda, as well as training in Conflict
Resolution and Peace building, and Project Planning and Management. These have equipped him
with practical skills in advocacy, mediation, and program implementation.
Churchill holds a Diploma in General Agriculture from Busitema University, which
complements his community-based approach to development and governance.
Currently, he serves as the Project Officer for the Strengthening and Advancing Governance and
Accountability (SAGA) project under the Governance Department at Kitgum NGO Forum
(KINGFO). In this role, he contributes to strengthening accountability systems, promoting
citizen participation, and advancing transparency in public service delivery

Jimmy Otto
Volunteer Monitor
ManagementPeacebuilding and Human Rights Program
Jimmy is a Bachelor\\\'s Degree holder in Ethics and Development
Studies awarded from Uganda Martyrs University (UMU), Nkozi –
Kampala.
Jimmy is a trained community trainer, monitor, and human rights
promoter with special skills in advocacy for transparent and
accountable governance. He is passionate about advancing community empowerment and
respect for Human Rights.
